There are seasons when nothing seems to happen on the surface, but pressure is steadily building beneath. Every prayer, praise, act of worship, and intercession contribute to this rising pressure. Each time you press into GOD, change is happening deep within.
Genesis 7:11 describes it vividly: “…the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.” Notice the simultaneous opening of heaven and the breaking of the deep—this is the essence of revival.
At a certain point, what has been gathering in prayer can no longer stay hidden. The fountains break open, the heavens are flung wide, and waters begin to flow freely.
