Not Every Marriage Is GOD Ordained

The Trickery of Satan

This is not every marriage that was ordained by God. Some marriages may have been influenced by negative forces, where one partner appeared to be faithful and spiritual but was actually acting in flesh, controlling, manipulating, and causing harm to the spouse and children. While many talk about how God hates divorce, it’s important to recognize that God’s heart is also hurt by emotional abuse and any situation that causes deep pain.

In Malachi 2:14-17, it speaks of the sacred covenant between spouses and how God desires unity and faithfulness. Betrayal, deceit, or unfaithfulness deeply grieve God's heart, especially when they break the trust and love in a marriage.

In the Bible, being treacherous means betraying trust and breaking sacred bonds. When someone emotionally abuses their spouse, it is a serious breach of that covenant, and God is distressed by such actions.

The Book of Ezra shows us that sometimes, drastic measures are taken to protect the spiritual health of the community, such as urging men to divorce ungodly wives to preserve religious purity. It highlights how ungodliness, like spirit of Jezebel, can impact a person’s spiritual well-being.

Being married to someone who is a false believer or ungodly can be deeply traumatic and affect your health and salvation. Not everyone professing faith has truly been healed or delivered—many still wrestle with their soul wounds or demonic influences.

In 2 Corinthians 6:14-16, we are reminded not to partner with unbelievers or idols, as this can hinder our walk with Christ. It’s crucial to prioritize your spiritual health and well-being.

Never idolize a spouse who is not genuinely living out the fruit of the Spirit. An unfaithful or ungodly partner can hinder your calling, hurt your children, and even lead to physical or emotional harm. If they refuse help—whether through healing, repentance, or deliverance—trust that God may guide you to make the difficult but necessary decision to protect yourself and your family.

Remember, God gives everyone free will, and His desire is for all to choose healing, deliverance, and righteousness. Seek His guidance with compassion and trust that He will lead you through every step.
